For the past two years we have offered our clients online backup at no additional monthly cost. Most small businesses are ideal candidates for the service, but there are some general guidelines you need to think about:
- Bandwidth: you should have a business class internet connection with a speed greater than 1.5 mbps to take full advantage of the service (this means a T1/DS1).
- Total Data Size: you should have less than 100GB of data to be backed up (we can accomodate more, but 100Gb or less is ideal unless you have 3mbps or greater bandwidth capacity).
- Exchange Database Size: your Exchange database can be no bigger than 20GB (we can still provide online backup for all your other data, but Exchange will need to be backed up locally unless you get a faster connection - 3 mbps or better).
- Database Size: for that matter, any database can be no bigger than 20GB.
